LETTERS OF INTENT: Letters of Intent will start being accepted (through an official submission form) on August 23, 2025. There will be at least two virtual (Zoom) optional meetings scheduled in the first few weeks of September for open Q&A with the Crown about Crown Tournament and reigning. Submission of Letters of Intent will close on September 23, 2025.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT:
MODIFICATION based on the number of participants and with consultation between Their Majesties and the Kingdom Earl Marshal

There will be a traditional challenge and the challenge pairs will be grouped into pools. There will be two pools of fighters, 6 fighters in one pool and 7 fighters in the other pool. These will be fought round-robin style, with each fighter having the chance to fight each fighter in their pool. The pool with 7 fighters will have a no-fight BYE for each round. This allows each pool to have the same number of fights. The top three from each pool will advance to the Champions Pool, which will feed into semi-finals or finals, depending on the outcome.

Weapons form is fighter’s choice, finals are as we initially described, best 3/5.

  • Round 1: Great Weapon
  • Round 2: Sword and Weapon
  • Round 3: Sword and Shield
  • Round 4: Fighter’s choice
  • Round 5: Fighter’s choice

Their Majesties would like all to know that there will be Rose Challenges. Wooden roses will be available to deliver pick-up fight challenges outside the actual Crown lists. All fighters are welcome to bring armor to participate in challenges or pick-up fights. Challenge someone to a fight and determine the form and number of passes. The victor may then ask their opponent to deliver a rose on their behalf to anyone on site.

SITE INFORMATION/RESTRICTIONS: This is a dry site. Pavilions and day shades are welcome. Parking will be available onsite. You may drive on the grass to unload, however please do not get your vehicle stuck in the grass when unloading.

Privy Council will be held at the same site, Calle Mayor Middle School, the very next day.
